Story

Lowstair is a city of stairs. They climb in every direction, most of them to nowhere, and the Rogue ran every one of them before he learned to read. He never stole from anyone who could not afford the loss, and he is the first to tell you so, usually while holding something shiny.

The Sleepless Gate was the first lock that ever looked back at him. He could not resist. Goblins, orcs and the other thinking folk of the Deep, who like to believe they are unpredictable, are open books to him; he has spent his whole life reading people who very much did not want to be read.

He fights with two curved daggers, a purple cloak and a grin, and he considers the grin the sharpest of the three. The headband was a gift. He will not say from whom.
