Knight
Warden of the Wayrose
The Order is mostly rubble. The vow is not.
Stand behind the star. Nothing gets past it that I have not already met.
Playstyle
The Knight is the raid's tank: he shrugs off hits better than anyone, and his Bastion passive makes him tougher still when his health runs low. Taunt forces an enemy to attack only him for a few turns, trading some of his own damage for a much thicker hide.
Favored foe: Beasts take 10% more damage from the Knight. Races: Spider, Wolf, Bat, Slime, Dragon, Naga, Troll.
Skill and passive
Taunt
- Cooldown 14 s
- Target Self
For 4 enemy turns the enemy can only attack you (area hits excepted): you take 40% less damage from ordinary hits (effective defense) and deal 25% less damage.
Bastion
Takes 5% less damage; below 30% health, 25% less instead.

Story
When Hearthold's roof fell in, the Order of the Wayrose kept its vows and lost almost everything else. The barracks are full of swallows now, the banners hang in tatters, and the blue-and-gold compass star survives on a single cloak. The Knight wears that cloak. Nobody ordered him to. The Order simply stopped sending orders, and he has never found a good reason to stop following them.
He is no prodigy and no poet. He is the person who stands in the doorway while everyone else is still working out where the doorway is. The beasts of the Deep tend to break against him like waves against a seawall, and he has stopped being surprised by it. When the Call came, he checked the sky, found the star, and answered before the second sentence.
He rests both hands on his sword when he thinks nobody is looking, the way other people close their eyes to pray. He would never say what he is promising. It seems to be working.
